Unity debugging in VS Code
0:00Microsoft released the Unity extension for Versus Code and it is chef's kiss. It's built on the c sharp dev kit and the c sharp extension. And if you want that Visual Studio experience, install the IntelliCode for c sharp extension. That way you'll get those AI powered features like full line completion and start suggestions when you type. And luckily, debugging is just built in.
Attach to your game in any Unity editor or Unity player for any of the platforms that Unity supports and you can begin to set breakpoints and step through that code just like you would normally. But it's not exactly plug and play. Depending on your Unity version, you'll need to update your Visual Studio editor package to version two point o point 20 inside of your Unity package manager. Wanna try it out yourself?
Lucky for you, I left a link in the comments, so enjoy. Until next time.
